Prairie UU Society is located at 2010 Whenona Dr., 2 blocks west of Seminole Hwy. and about 3
blocks south of the West Beltline (US Hwys. 12-14-18-151)-- just about
1/2 mile from the intersection of the West Beltline and South Midvale
Blvd. Please print out these directions so you can refer to them when
you visit us for the first time.
Prairie is located at the corner of Whenona and Crawford Drive. Our street
address in on Whenona Drive, but the front entrance now faces Crawford Drive, as
the result of remodeling to gain handicap access.
From Northwest or West of Madison:
Take US Hwy. 12 or US Hwy. 14 south (east) toward Madison. Exit at US Hwy.
18-151 (Verona Road). Go south on Verona Rd. to the first stop light (between
Home Depot and Walgreen's). Turn left at the light, then turn left again onto
the frontage road and go north one block. Turn right onto Britta Parkway, just past the Mobil gas station. Stay on Britta
Parkway
three blocks to Whenona Dr., then turn right and go one block.
OR--Take Midvale Blvd. south, past the Beltline, to the stoplight between
Home Depot and Walgreen's. Turn east at stop light, then left on the frontage
road. Britta Parkway is the first street to the right - follow it three
blocks until it ends at Whenona Drive and go one block to the right.
From Northeast of Madison:
Take US Hwy. 51 south to US Hwys. 12 & 18 (the Beltline). Go
west on US 12 & 18 to the Seminole Highway exit. From the exit
ramp, turn left onto Seminole Hwy. and go over the bridge over the
Beltline. At the frontage road, turn right and go west
two blocks to Whenona Drive; turn left just after you pass under the
pedestrian bridge. Go south on Whenona Drive two and a half blocks.
From Madison's East Side:Take Johnson Street west through the
UW-Madison campus to Randall Street. Go south on Randall about 3 blocks
and veer right onto Monroe Street (OR take whatever route you want to
reach Regent Street and Monroe Street and head southwest on Monroe
St.). Continue on Monroe until it divides into Odana Road (angling right) and
Nakoma Rd (angling left). Take the angled left onto Nakoma Road. Follow Nakoma to
the Westminster Presbyterian Church, where you should take the angled
left turn onto Seminole Highway. Follow Seminole to the West Beltline,
cross over the Beltline and turn right at the frontage road. Go two blocks
to Whenona Drive; turn left just after you pass under the pedestrian
bridge. Go south on Whenona Drive about two blocks to Crawford Drive.
From the Southeast: Take US Hwy. 14 to the Beltline (US
12-14-18-151), follow the Beltline west to Seminole Hwy. exit. From the
exit ramp, turn left onto Seminole Hwy. and go over the bridge over the
Beltline. At the frontage road, turn right. Go two blocks to Whenona
Drive; turn left just after you pass under the pedestrian bridge. Go south on Whenona Drive about
two blocks.
From the Southwest:
Take Verona Rd. north, go north of Raymond Road to the stoplight between Home
Depot and Walgreen's. Turn right at the light, then turn left again onto the frontage road
and go north one block. Turn right onto Britta Parkway, just past the Mobil gas station. Stay on Britta
Parkway
three blocks to Whenona Dr., then turn right and go one block.
From the South:
Take Seminole Highway north. Go left on Milford Road one blocks. Turn left onto Whenona Drave one block. Note that some online maps incorrectly show Whenona Drive going south beyond Miford within Marbourough Park, this section of Whenona does not exist.
