Growing an International Village Through Community Gardening by Mary Mullen and Barbara Park

On Sunday, July 3, Marlborough Community Garden participants Mary Mullen and Barbara Park will present “Growing an International Village Through Community Gardening.” With a slide show, they will demonstrate how this community garden gets people of quite different backgrounds out of their ethnic silos to enjoy a friendly village-like experience while growing good food.  After the service, examine the display boards and binders that show some of the history of the garden.  The garden in Marlborough Park is an easy walk from Prairie.  If weather permits, Barbara and Mary will lead tours of the garden.  Bonus:  The Diary of a Worm is the story for all ages.
