“Christian Nationalism: What is it and how does it shape our religious and cultural landscape?” by Rev. Ralph Tyksinski
Christian nationalism is a cultural framework that conflates American identity with an exclusive form of religious identity. Based on the myth that America was founded as a Christian nation and it enjoys a special favor from God, proponents of Christian nationalism seek a fusion of religious and civil life – to the harm of both. Christian nationalism seeks to infuse anti-democratic notions of white supremacy, nativism, patriarchy, and authoritarianism, to concentrate power in a select group.
