We “honor” Dr. Martin Luther King each January with a national holiday. Perhaps it is easier to put up a monument or have an honorary day on the calendar than to take the difficult steps towards a more just world.

As we enter 2025 and face unprecedented gun violence, climate change, poverty, racism, and LGBTQIA+ discrimination, we are reminded that, “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.”  As Unitarian Universalists looking at the mountain before us, what steps will we take to travel this arc of justice together?
