Caring Committee

The Caring Committee provides support and offers assistance to members who are dealing with an illness, hospitalization, the birth of a baby, grief over the loss of a family member or close friend, or another significant life event. We provide calls, cards, visits, meals, pet walking or feeding, and similar helpful services when a member individual or family needs these kinds of temporary services during such times. In addition to a Committee Chair, the Caring Committee has other Group Leaders who are responsible for contacting members when they hear of a member who may have need of our services. When a person becomes a member of Prairie UU Society, they are placed in one of the Group Leaders’ groups. The Committee also has a team of Volunteers who help deliver some of the services needed. We meet as needed, usually once or twice a year, most often in the Prairie Annex. Would you like to become a Volunteer? Please contact the Caring Committee Chair at caring[AT]uuprairie.org
